Consumers using Chrome can now pay online using the cards saved in their Google account. In a continued effort to reduce friction for users to complete e-commerce transactions, Google will now allow the cards that users have stored in their Google accounts to auto-fill when making a purchase while using a Chrome browser or wherever Google Pay is accepted. According to Marketing Land, this follows suit of Googles Shopping Actions which allows users to pay for products directly from a Google checkout cart. Google hopes that this new feature will increase the number of stored cards in their system and ultimately lead to more Shopping Action ads.
