Instagram is introducing ads into its Explore tab. As Marketing Dive states, Instagram’s explore tab is one of the most engaging and personal aspects of the social media app. The explore section generates content to appeal to the user through their interests. Instagram will be introducing these explore section ads gradually over the next few months to not negatively affect the user experience, allowing the ads shown to be based on the user’s actions within the app. While the photo and video ads will be included with the original posts in the explore section brands will need to design their ads to stand out among the sea of photos and videos available to the user.
