Pinterest is highlighting its small business owners through a new page on its platform. Shortly before the beginning of the holiday shopping spike, Black Friday, Pinterest launched an online marketplace called Pinterest Shop. This page displays hundreds of shoppable product pins from 17 hand-picked small businesses. These merchants were picked based on their creativity and craftsmanship. Each merchants board has around 20 products shoppers can shop from directly on Pinterest. Marketing Land highlights that Pinterest is hoping that this new page will help connect holiday shoppers with small businesses to provide unique quality options. Pinterest aims to make the connection between consumers and theses business more personal helping increase sales for small businesses.
